Choosing “The Go Slow Co”
In 2017, I ventured abroad to a lovely place known as Belize.
It was a place I had wanted to visit for a while; we had a great time, staying in tree forts, in cities, and on beaches. It hit all of the vacation modes.
I was walk-jogging myself across the small island, as fast walkers do, when a local rode past me on his cruiser bike asking where I was going and then kindly told me to “go slow.”
It seemed like about three minutes went by before I reached the end of the island. I laughed to myself, “Oh, I get it. This is it!”
I bought the island slogan “go slow” on a small wooden sign and hung it above a doorway in my home. A reminder to stop racing through my life and to start enjoying it.
The Go Slow Co is a company that embodies slowing down. Returning to the senses. And also driving offline connection with human beings… and sharing things made by human beings.
